Holiday in England

I am having a great time here in the north of England, we have already hit the shops.
Sales are everywhere !! I started with Selfridges in Manchester where I was lucky to find my very first Proenza Schouler bag in the sales!
I also found a lovely Celine bracelet, also in the sales.
So pleased!
Yesterday we were in Meadowhall a large shopping mall in Sheffield, and the first store I went to was obviously the newly opened Victorias Secret!!!
Almost all giftsets are half price and some clothes and underwear are also reduced!

My make up must haves for the party season

The party season is here!!
Although the natural look is by far my favourite look, I must say I love a bit of sparkle come Christmas time!!
My staples stay the same: Clinique CC cream, and the new Universal Clinique Superprimer.
Then my absolute must have all year round but especially at this time of the year is YSL Touche éclat, I use shade no. 1, I must say I dont have a great deal of dark circles but this really makes my eyes appear brighter! I personally think is more of an highlighter than a concealer. I put a bit under my eyes, above the brow, under the chin and a bit on both side of my nosestrils then i pad with my fingers. The effect is beautiful!
On my eyes I love Chanel Illusion d' Ombre, the one I use is Ebloui. It is a burgundy/ brown shade with red undertones. It is a mousse eyeshadow, highly pigmented  and   it  gives a beautiful effect!
I apply it with my fingers or with the supplied Chanel brush. To make sure it stays in place all day I usually wear a primer first.
I love Bourjois Effet Smoky Eyes Kayal, they are available in 5 shades, and they are perfect to achieve the  smoky eye look! As for mascara I recently discovered Urban Decay Big Fatty , I must say I am amazed with the results! It gives me a real false lash effects! I also use Benefit and Max Factor mascaras which I also find very good for everyday wear, maybe when I dont need such a dramatic look.
I like a bit of colour on my cheeks so I am a fan of MAC mineralize blush in Dainty. It gives me a nice glowy look  but still looks quite natural.
It wouldnt be Christmas without a red lippy!! I went for this year Chanel Rouge Velvet No.317 La Précieuse, I must admit I have not worn it yet as I am saving it for the holidays.. !! But the colour looks absolutely beautiful!!
I am also going to keep in my handbags my trusty Clinique Chubby sticks , I recommend no.5 Chunky Cherry! They are so easy to apply and a must when you are on the go, and they also moisturize the lips!
And last but not least of course Chanel Les Beiges healthy glow sheer powder, I went for no.30. I think it is an absolute must have for the holidays !!

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream and Aromatic Mist Patchouli & Fresh Rose

This post is to review two wonderful products that I use from Kiehls.
The Ultra facial Cream and the Aromatic Mist Patchouli &  Fresh Rose.
First of all I will start with the Ultra Facial Cream which in this case is also part of the Limited Edition  Kiehl's & Haze Collection.
I have been using this cream daily , the texture is quite light but it soothes my dry skin so well!
As I told you before I live in the mountains in cold Switzerland and this cream really helps me battling the cold  by keeping my skin moisturized for 24 hrs.
From the same Kiehl's & Haze limited edition range you will also find the body lotion and body butter.

The Aromatic Mist Patchouli & Fresh Rose

After the success of the line Aromatic Blends, Kiehls decided to launch this new scent Patchouli & Fresh Rose  this year!
Could I miss out? Of course not!
I love this mist! The mist is  a luxurious fusion of Patchouli and Rose with hints of bergamot and mandarin orange.
I love the fresh petal-like notes of Rose mixed with bright, woody notes of Patchouli.
From the same range you will also find: body cream and the body cleanser. All of which I can't wait to try!!!
If you are still short of ideas for Christmas I would recommend  The Aromatic Mist Patchouli & Rose as it would make an ideal gift !

Christmas Shopping ootd

Today my hubby and I took my mum for a bit of Christmas shopping and lunch!
We had a great time!
I chose to wear a very festive Mango gold jacket and for the first time out I wore my brand new Balenciaga boots!
Which I must say are very comfy and the leather is so soft!

A day in Milan

Yesterday together my hubby and I went to Milan for a bit of Christmas shopping, or should I say to get my hubby his Christmas present!!
Well mission accomplished! So happy that he likes it and that we were able to find it. I know some of you will say that he will have no surprise but hey at least  this way I am sure he likes it and let say I couldnt not show him.. curious?? Lets just say it comes from the LV store.. I shall not say more!
A part from getting my hubbys gift we had a good look around at LA RINASCENTE department store, it is a beautiful department store and the Christmas decorations in there are just magnificent!!
At La Rinascente you can find most luxury brands for both men and women spread over several floors. Louis Vuitton has a store in there,too!
We then went for a walk around the wonderful Duomo and proceeded to the luxury shopping streets of Via Montenapoleone and Via Della Spiga.
  Both streets are decorated to perfection and Christmas carols are played through some speakers all over the street! I think it is a nice touch to get people in the mood!! And what about the Tiffany Christmas tree?? Just fab!
I am so happy I was able to get the special edition of Moschino for Disaronno, the bottle is so cute and I think it will be a collectors item in the future!
