Alexander Wang for H&M

The news itself is so exciting to make you wish it was already November.. H&M will partner with Alexander Wang for its next designer collaboration. The news has been released yesterday during an event at Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs, California.
This partnership marks the first time that an American designer teams up with H&M.
Alexander Wang's core sensibility is a reflection on contrasts, blending seamlessly between the refined and imperfect.
His collections have an unprecious outlook on fashion, and always reflect a sense of ease.
The Alexander Wang for H&M will feature apparel and accessories for both Women and Men. Typical for his irriverent approach Alexander Wang will propose a new take on the lifestyle product that goes beyond fashion.
The collection will be sold in 250 stores worldwide and online starting November 6th 2014.

Alexander Wang was born in San Francisco but later moved to New York to attend the Parson School of Design. In 2005 he launched his own label. He started predominately with knitwear but soon evolved in a full Women's  ready to wear line and collection.

In 2008 Alexander Wang received top honours as he received the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund and he later launched his handbag line.

He then received the Swarovski Women Designer of the year award in 2009.
He went to launch Women's T by Alexander Wang also in 2009 and soon added footwear, and not long after men's T by Alexander Wang.
In 2011 he was aknowledged by GQ as best Men's Designer of the year.
In 2013 Wang was honoured by the Fashion Group International  and in 2014 he was the only designer nominated in 2 CFDA categories: Womenswear Designer of the year and Accessories Designer of the Year .
In addition to designing for his own label Alexander Wang was recently appointed creative director of Balenciaga.
