Maison Ruinart presents the Sommelier Challenge 2020. Promising sommeliers in Switzerland can register for this exceptional competition until March 5, 2020 and will be judged by big names in the world of wine.
Maison Ruinart is organizing its 4th edition of the Ruinart Sommelier Challenge in Switzerland which will take place on March 22nd before an experienced jury, composed of Paolo Basso, Best Sommelier of the World 2013, Michael Jenni, winner of the 2019 edition of the Ruinart Sommelier Challenge, Chandra Kurt and Pierre Thomas, journalists and experts in oenology, as well as Louise Bryden, young rising star of viticulture and oenologist at Ruinart.
Today, she is part of the tasting committee, leads major research projects and travels around the world to share her passion, wine and the Ruinart vision.




The Ruinart Sommelier Challenge will take place at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz and invites all promising sommeliers in Switzerland to participate in this competition. Registrations are open until March 5, 2020. The jury will evaluate the registrations and select 25 participants who will be nominated and invited to participate in the Challenge on March 22, 2020 in Bad Ragaz. Selected participants will receive an email invitation on March 9, 2020.
Overall, the Sommelier Challenge will be organized in 18 markets. As a reward, the winner will have the opportunity, with the winners of the 17 other markets, to leave for a four-day training session in Champagne and Paris in summer 2020 in order to share and work on various subjects related to geology, tasting from different producers and sustainable development.
