Girard Perregaux Cocktail Event with Nile Rodgers

Last night I had the great pleasure of attending a cocktail event organized by Gerard Perregaux at their HQ in La Chaux-de-fonds with music legend Nile Rodgers.
The multiple Grammy Award musician, producer, co-founder of the band Chic and also chairman of the We Are Family Foundation was there for a special visit to its manufacturing ateliers and had chance to see some of Girard-Perregaux watch masters at work and was also able to assemble a few parts of a watch himself.
The visit of the ateliers went on with the cocktail event which celebrated the partnership between Girard-Perregaux and the We Are Family Foundation.
It was great to assist to a live performance of Nile Rodgers with some of Girard-Perregaux young watchmakers who have a passion for music.
During the cocktail event, CEO of Girard-Perregaux and Sowind Group Michele Sofisti went on stage to give Rodgers the limited edition version of the Shadow Hawk watch that bears the heart of the We Are Family Foundation's logo on the dial and a dedicated engraving on the back case. It is an all black zircunium ceramic timepiece which is contemporary, bold and sleek. Visible througj the case's sapphire back, the caliber GP03300 , a mechanical, selfwinding chronograph movement, drives this very high performance piece.
The relationship betweeen Girard Perregaux and the We Are Family Foundation started in 2013 with the "Changing Watch" event in New York City, during which the brand honoured the Foundation's mission to nurture and amplify today's young visionaires who will inhabit the world of tomorrow.

The event was really lovely and intimate, it was great to see Nile Rodgers performing live with the young talents of Girard Perregaux. I personally  think is admirable everything Nile is doing for the We Are Family Foundation, and the partnership with Girard-Perregaux seems a match made in heaven!
