The hotel if you haven't been there is absolutely fantastic, a palace from the late 19th century direct on the lake's shores with beautiful decor.
La Veranda is a very elegant restaurant which boosts some spectacular views over the lake and it is really the perfect place for a romantic dinner, we were sitting right on the window and we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful view throughout the meal.
Our Nespresso Gourmet dinner started off in great style with Foie Gras with Sauterns wine, sablé biscuit with Cioccatino, jelly of rasberry and vinegar. What a great start!
We then went to enjoy some homemade fresh ravioli stuffed with buffalo ricotta, lime and chilli pepper and grilled scampi. This dish was one of my favourite of the meal, so delicate and delicious!
We then were served the slow cooked cod on a cream of artichokes, with chives potatoes and Asetra imperial caviar. What a delicacy! I am not usually a fan of fish but honestly I literally loved this dish!
The fish dish was then followed by the veal with melted butter, oven baked potatoes and salted vegetables. Well, what to say about this, it was superb, I truly enjoyed it!
The meat was so tender and cooked to perfection. Bravo to chef Domenico Ruberto!
Chef Domenico seduced by the Nespresso Grand Cru has created sophisticated food pairings which explore a universe of flavours.
The dinner finished off beautifully with a cheese plate and a mille-feuille with cream of Vanilio, wild berries and ice cream. I am a huge desserts lover and this for me was heaven!
Of course we ended our wonderful Nespresso Gourmet dinner with a Nespresso Grand Cru with homemade praline. Perfection!
The staff made us feel very welcome and was very helpful throughout the dinner, they really couldn't do more to please us!
