Behind the scenes at Schultess Klinik

The other day I was invited for an exclusive "Behind the scenes" tour of the renowned Schulthess Klinik in Zurich. Switzerland's leading orthopedic specialist clinic has just successfully completed a three-year expansion plan and renovations work.
The expansion was divided in three stages were a new hospital wing was created as well as additional operating rooms, a new waiting room area, a treatment center and an underground car park as well as various other adjustments to the existing infrastructure.
In the first stage 2012  new patient rooms were built and the offices and the training center were expanded. In the next stage followed the construction was  parking garage, medical facilities, surgical area, medical practices and the construction of an Auditorium.
In the final stage it was mainly improventss to the existing buildings which took place among others in the kitchen, restaurant, lobby and central warehouse. The works have costed around 90 million CHF.

The clinic now features after the refurbishment more than 160 beds and shines with new splendor.

During our visit  I had the oppurtunity not only to meet the CEO of Schultess Klinik Andrea Rytz which after a very interesting presentation took time to show us around the clinic. We were able to appreciate the impressive renovation works and the improvements carried out to make the clinic a state-of-the-art infrastructure. We even had the oppurtunity to visit the operating rooms!

says recently appointed CEO Andrea Rytz and who is of course very  pleased with the successful completion of renovation works.

In our "Behind the scenes" tour we were also able to take a look at the Performance and Diagnostics / Schultess Training department which works closely with top Swiss athletes and is also partnered with Swiss Olympics and FIFA.
The experienced staff not only provide professional advice for both beginners and professionals in order to gain the maximum benefit from their training and achieve their personal goals.
