Stars not only in the sky at #Locarno68

Locarno Film Festival will start tomorrow and I am beyond excited to be able to be there once again to watch some great movies in the beautiful Piazza Grande under the stars.
Stars that will not only be in the sky but also guests at #Locarno68. The opening night will have Hollywood vibes thanks to Edwart Norton who is coming to Locarno to  receive the Excellence Award Moët & Chandon.
A guitar played by Meryl Streep will be the soundrack of the opening night in the movie  " Ricki and the Flash" directed by Jonathan Demme (  winner of the Academy Award for The Silence of the Lambs)
Andy Garcia on the other hand  will be awarded on Friday with the Leopard Club Award. The Pardo D'Onore Swisscom will be given to Michael Cimino ( author of The Deer Hunter) while the new star of US comedy Amy Schumer will be there for Juss Apatow's Trainwreck together with Bill Hader.
From Hollywood to European stars Locarno will also see The Pardo alla Carriera handed out to one of the Nouvelle Vague Icons Bulle Ogier while in the Concorso Internazionale we will see Sabine Azéma and in the Concorso Cineasti del presente we have the duo Melvil Poupaud / Clémence Poésy.
Locarno is also keeping a link to the past as is the case with the Pardo d'Onore Swisscom awarded to great Italian director Marco Bellocchio who found his fame 50 years ago with I pugni in tasca and who is certainly an inspiration for the young talents hoping to emulate his career.
Have a great Festival!
