We probably all enjoy going to MAC counters or boutiques and get a few tips and advices from the expert girls at MAC but do you know you can get much more than that at your counter? They offer a variety of make up services ranging from makeup applications to makeup lessons.

On Saturday I called at MAC Lugano to experience one of the makeup lessons.

But let's first discover the services you can get at your MAC counter.

MAKE UP APPLICATIONS

EXPRESS MAKE UP APPLICATION (30 min)

You can choose from an express makeup application by a MAC make up artist ( 30 minutes) focusing on a particular feature: eyes, lips, countouring.. Perfect if you are short of time but still want a great effect!

FULL MAKE UP APPLICATION (60 min)

A total look from lashes to lips created by a MAC make up artist in 60 minutes. You will get the face chart to recreate the look at home. Use the look as inspiration or find yours.

BRIDAL MAKE UP  or SPECIAL EVENTS (90 min)

A total look for your wedding day or for a special event created by a MAC makeup artist in 90 minutes.

After a brief consultation the MAC Makeup artist will create a look which will go with your style and theme of the event.

 STAGE MAKE UP  ( 90 min)

Make even the most imaginative makeup come true, stage makeup or drag created by a creative MAC Artist in 90 minutes.

MAKE UP LESSONS

FOCUS FEATURE LESSON ( 30 min)

A focus feature lesson of 30 minutes with a step by step guidance of a MAC makeup artist. Choose from eyes, eyebrows, lips or countouring.

FULL MAKE UP LESSON (90 min)

A total look makeup lesson to learn how to create a beautiful face makeup with a step by step guidance of a MAC makeup artist for 90 minutes.

You will also get the facechart to recreate your look at home.

MAKEUP PARTY 

Organize a party with your friends while having a MAC make up artist at your disposal for 90 minutes. For this workshop choose from two Focus Features from the menu, each of 10 or 15 minutes.

MAC TECHNIQUE

Workshops lead by MAC artists, something for everyone. The best and most stylish way to take away everything MAC Artists are famous for. For all ages, all sexes and all races.

MY  FOCUS FEATURE LESSON:

EYES

Together with Stefania, MAC makeup artist at MAC Lugano, we decided to go for a lesson focusing on the eyes and in particular a smokey eye look. It is a beautiful look which I  love but it has to be done right not to have that panda look effect!

So off we started, and step by step Stefania talked me through the different stages to create the smokey eyes look we wanted.

I have learned also from other visits at MAC that before you start applying your makeup is better to lie all the products you are going to use in front of you so that you all organized and you got them handy when you need them.

We then started the look applying first the base and then the different eye shadows and kayal to create a gorgeous smokey eyes look. The process it is quite simple as Stefania not only explained me what she was doing but also showed me on half of the face how to do it and then I had to recreate the same in the other half. I confess I was quite nervous at first but I truly enjoyed it as it was wonderful to have a go myself and work together with a MAC artist to create my look. I also got the face chart to take home so I can try to recreate the look all by myself!

I usually just sit there and let the experts work their magic but I always wanted to be able to learn to do it myself. So if you feel you could do from learning from the pros on how to create that beautiful eye look you have seen on that magazine or on how to have that perfect luscious lips look, it is time to book your lesson at MAC!

I truly enjoyed mine and honestly I can't wait to have another one focusing on eyebrows or lips!
