Starbucks opens the first coffee house in Zurich West on March 11 in the ultra-modern Prime 2 building at Pfingstweidstrasse 9. The new «Third Place» in district 5 near the Hardbrücke invites residents and employees of the surrounding companies to linger.
The Escher-Wyss Quarter is characterized by its trendy buildings and the living and working with the pulse of the times. The new Starbucks Coffee House combines these elements and offers the people in the neighborhood a «third place» - a third place besides living and working, where they can meet friends, read, work or just enjoy a fine coffee and relax. The 49th Starbucks Coffee House in Switzerland is characterized by its modern, yet cozy furnishings and its perfect location in the heart of Zurich West. From March 11th, Starbucks' baristas will pamper guests with top-quality coffees, fine teas, frappucchinos and delicious salty and sweet snacks.
Bernie Malou, Director & General Manager Starbucks Switzerland and Austria, says:
«Today, with over 30,000 coffee houses, Starbucks is the world's largest roaster and provider of coffee specialties - we are all the more pleased to be able to offer our products from now on also here in the district 5 in Zurich. With every cup we want to express our heritage and our great experience. Exceptional coffee can only come from exceptional beans. Arabica beans of the highest quality are the basis of a perfect espresso - perfectly roasted by our specialists. The beans are freshly ground for every cup - for a perfect enjoyment experience. »
