Last week I was invited to a brunch with Adidas for their NMD Gallery by A/SH in Zurich.
A wonderful exhibition for the release of the new NMD sneakers in collaboration with A/SH artfashion and some wonderful Swiss artists such as Lauretta Suter, Jonas Hegi, Kevin Högger and Nadja Stäubli.
All paid tribute the NMD in different ways: Kevin Högger with his black & white art wall poster, Jonas Hegi with a breathtaking video, Nadja Stäubli with her pictures and Lauretta Suter with her editorial.
We also had chance to view all the new NMD releases, from the Chukka inspired by a staple in fashion classic the desert boot to the City Sock in Primeknit and the NMD Runner models there is really one for everyone.
Under the motto the past empowers the future referencing progressive Adidas styles like the Micro Pacer, the Rising Star and the Boston Super the NMD gives archival elements a modern context with breakthrough technology.
Micro-engineered boost and Primeknit fabrications meet a bold visual language that pays homage to innovation moments from the brand's collective memory.
The result is a fearless silhouette that defines the shape and style of today.
