67th Film Festival Locarno

Tomorrow night with the Swiss Premiere  of Lucy directed by Luc Besson the 67th Film Festival will open its door  and its Piazza Grande.
Piazza Grande is the heart of the Festival! Its screen is one of the biggest in Europe, and thanks to state-of-the-art projection equipment makes this venue really special and a one-of-a-kind open-air-theater.
Every night the Piazza Grande will see up to 8000 people sitting on the strategically placed black and yellow seats.
This makes for a wonderful setting for award ceremonies with the Festival's important guests.
The program has a few premieres on offer , presented by the directors and cast.
"Locarno has always been a fertile meeting place, where different experiences come into contact. The image of thr crossroads, where approaches intersect, is echoed by the image of the Piazza Grande, a place for exchanging things and ideas. Film is an art of exchange". Carlo Chatrian, Artistic Director of Locarno Film Festival.
