La Roche-Posay free skin check on myskincheck.ch

This site has been developed by a board by dermatologists with support from La Roche-Posay and the aim of this site : myskincheck.ch is to make you aware of what can be done to prevent skin cancer and in particular to locate any suspects moles and to encourage to consult your dermatologist who is the only person able to give you a definitive diagnosis.
90% of melanomas detected early enough can be cured, early detenction is therefore crucial.
Dermatologists encourage you to regurarly check your skin and locate any suspected lesions.
myskincheck.ch is intended to help you monitor your moles in between visits to your dermatogist and allow you to better know your skin and take good care of it.
You can evaluate your personal risk level and learn how to monitor your skin.
It is very easy you can simply upload a picture of the birth mark you deem suspect on the site and it will then be checked by a group of dermatologists from the University of Zurich Hospital.
They will then tell you if it is harmless or if you should go and get it checked by a doctor. This service is free.
This interactive tools do not in any way replace the essential visit to your doctor.
The site gives you also good advice on how to have good sun habits such as to avoid sun exposure when the sun is at its hottest and to always protect yourself with a hat, sunglasses and suitable clothes.
It is also crucial to always wear a good sun protection, La Roche-Posay offers a great range of suncare in every form: spray, fluid, gel,etc..adapted to everyone's preferences and needs.
The skin test will be available online from May 1st 2014.

  1. Great idea! I have so many moles that I'm always keeping an eye out for. I hope this increases the early detection rate. It's great that you've posted about it, increasing awareness is so important.
