Grand Opening of the Royal Savoy Lausanne

It was a great pleasure to attend on the 23rd of September 2016 the official Grand Opening of the legendary hotel Royal Savoy in Lausanne after major renovation works which allowed the hotel to regain its former splendor.

"After a long period of development and construction, we are very proud to reopen the legendary Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne, beautifully renovated and repositioned as 5-star hotel," said Alain Kropf, General Manager of the Hotel Royal Savoy.

His Excellence Mr. Hamad Abdulla Al-Mulla (CEO of Katara Hospitality), Bruno H. Schöpfer (CEO The Burgenstock Selection), Alain Kropf (Managing Director of the Hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne), Chef Marc Haeberlin (head chef of the hotel Royal Savoy Lausanne) and Natacha Litzistorf (Councellor of the city of Lausanne) took part in the unique ceremony in the heart of the hotel.
The official reopening ceremony which saw more than 600 guests attending who were able to take a wonderful culinary journey around the hotel.
I personally started by enjoying a few cocktails at the jewel of the Hotel Royal Savoy, the Lounge Bar and then proceeded to enjoy delicious food on the terraces of the hotel which boasts great garden views. And last but not least the candy room hosted in the Salon of the Royal..a wonderful room with elegant design which for the night was turned in a wonderful candy room full of everything you could wish for from candies to popcorns, ice creams and pancakes.
The night also saw the performance of Swiss artist Bastian Baker which performed live some of its latest hits and certainly was the icing of the cake of this beautiful and majestic opening.
