HEAD 2017 Fashion Show : backstage with MAC Cosmetics

The HEAD Fashion Show 2017 is one of the foremost fashion event in Geneva  and surely attracts each year a large audience of professionals, journalists and fashion lovers all on the search of new talents.

This year the Fashion Show saw 23 BA collections and 8 MA collections for a total of 270 creations presented. HEAD Geneva Fashion Design programme has become over the years one of the most coveted fashion programmes in the world.

Thanks to MAC Cosmetics which is a partner of the event I was able not only to attend the HEAD Fashion Show but also to take a look backstage and see the MAC Cosmetics Makeup Artists at work to recreate the HEAD Look created by Katlyn Gontier.

The look was  a kind of natural yet beautiful and glowing with glossy lips. What not to love?

I was truly in love with the look as I am a huge fan of natural makeup looks myself. It was a great experience to see Katlyin and the other MAC Makeup Artists creating the HEAD Look on the models backstage.

For the skin they first used Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion which is a lightweight serum that provides skin with a boost of hydration. It also gently soothes, revives and gets skin ready for foundation.

 Then it was a Studio Fix galore as they used Studio Fix Fluid and Studio Fix Perfecting Powder to create a wonderful natural matte finish look. The Studio Fix Fluid has an oil-control formula and gives you a medium to full buildable coverage. It is also very long-lasting and covers imperfections very well, giving you a flawless look. To set the makeup Katlyn went for Studio Fix Perfecting Powder.  It is infused with nourishing ingredients and sets makeup to perfection all with a matte finish.

As highlighter Katlyn used Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. This is a luxurious powder which gives you a beautiful radiant finish.

For the eyes she used Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Groundwork and Brow Set in Beguile into the crease. The Pro Longwear Paint Pot is a long-wearing cream shadow which is very blendable and can be worn alone or mixed with other products. The Extended Play Lash was the mascara of choice for the HEAD Look. Thanks to its waterproof formula this longwearing mascara lasts up to 16 hours. 

Lips were conditioned and hydrated with the Lip Conditioner and then the Retro Matte Liquid LipColour in Mango Mango was applied to give a splash of colour with a liquid-suede finish.
