Elie Saab is giving us an enchanted Christmas this year with the Elie Saab Le Parfum Feuilles d'Or. The new Collector Eau de Parfum pays tribute to Haute Couture jewellery with gold-infused embroidery which recalls the designer's creations.

The fragrance created by Francis Kurkdjian is as dazzling as jewellery beset with gold and precious gem. Deliciously addictive the oriental floral fragrance sees top notes of gold-coloured orange from Brazil evoking the Holiday season. At the heart of the fragrance white flowers, luminous Orange Blossom, Jasmine and radiant Ylang-Ylang. Kurkdjian also wanted to accentuate the intensity of Honey Rose, sustained by a warm and woody base of Patchouli.

RITUALS opens its first boutique in the Romandie

The time has finally come! RITUALS opened its first store in the Romandie in October. The fans of the brand will be able to enjoy a relaxing shopping experience in Lausanne, in a shop of more than 100 square meters.

After Zurich, St. Gallen, Bern, Zug, Lucerne, Biel and Basel, Lausanne is now the next city to welcome a Rituals store. The entry into the Swiss market since 2004 of the Dutch brand of beauty and lifestyle has been a great success: Lausanne is the 13th store to open its doors in Switzerland.

I was invited to the official opening party and I can assure the store it is truly beautiful and surely worth a visit. If you are starting your Christmas shopping you will be spoiled for choice as advent calendars and lots of holiday gift ideas are already in-store.

The well-being and pampering feeling are perceived straight away as soon as you step into the store. Each guest is greeted with a relaxing cup of tea and can fully enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the store.  RITUALS conscientiously develops its approach according to the motto: enjoy the small pleasures of life! This philosophy is expressed in each product of the brand.

L'Occitane widens its Shea Butter range with some gorgeous new products

The Shea Butter line from L'Occitane is one of my favourite range ever and of course I couldn't be happier to hear that they are adding five new products to the existing range. Shea Butter is surely an ideal beauty ingredient and women of Burkina Faso have been using Shea Butter for centuries to nourish their skin.

The five new products are all for the body and really focus on nourishing skin which make them ideal for the cold months ahead. Joining the existing Shea Butter range are: Ultra Light Body Cream, Ultra Rich Body Cream, Body Shower Oil, Rich Body Lotion and Faboulous Body Oil.

If you are looking for a rich body cream to nourish your skin in the cold Winter months you are really spoiled for choice with these novelties. The Ultra Rich Body Cream enriched with 25% Shea Butter intensely nourishes skin for up to 72 hours and it is ideal for dry to very dry skin. The Ultra Rich Body Cream also protects skin from dryness and giving a feeling of softness and comfort.  The cream although is very rich is quickly absorbed and doesn't leave any greasy film. HEAD 2017 Fashion Show : backstage with MAC Cosmetics

The HEAD Fashion Show 2017 is one of the foremost fashion event in Geneva  and surely attracts each year a large audience of professionals, journalists and fashion lovers all on the search of new talents.

This year the Fashion Show saw 23 BA collections and 8 MA collections for a total of 270 creations presented. HEAD Geneva Fashion Design programme has become over the years one of the most coveted fashion programmes in the world.

Thanks to MAC Cosmetics which is a partner of the event I was able not only to attend the HEAD Fashion Show but also to take a look backstage and see the MAC Cosmetics Makeup Artists at work to recreate the HEAD Look created by Katlyn Gontier.

The look was  a kind of natural yet beautiful and glowing with glossy lips. What not to love?

I was truly in love with the look as I am a huge fan of natural makeup looks myself. It was a great experience to see Katlyin and the other MAC Makeup Artists creating the HEAD Look on the models backstage.

For the skin they first used Prep + Prime Moisture Infusion which is a lightweight serum that provides skin with a boost of hydration. It also gently soothes, revives and gets skin ready for foundation.

 Then it was a Studio Fix galore as they used Studio Fix Fluid and Studio Fix Perfecting Powder to create a wonderful natural matte finish look. The Studio Fix Fluid has an oil-control formula and gives you a medium to full buildable coverage. It is also very long-lasting and covers imperfections very well, giving you a flawless look. To set the makeup Katlyn went for Studio Fix Perfecting Powder.  It is infused with nourishing ingredients and sets makeup to perfection all with a matte finish.

As highlighter Katlyn used Mineralize Skinfinish in Lightscapade. This is a luxurious powder which gives you a beautiful radiant finish.

For the eyes she used Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Groundwork and Brow Set in Beguile into the crease. The Pro Longwear Paint Pot is a long-wearing cream shadow which is very blendable and can be worn alone or mixed with other products. The Extended Play Lash was the mascara of choice for the HEAD Look. Thanks to its waterproof formula this longwearing mascara lasts up to 16 hours. 

Lips were conditioned and hydrated with the Lip Conditioner and then the Retro Matte Liquid LipColour in Mango Mango was applied to give a splash of colour with a liquid-suede finish.

ERDEM x H&M my top five!

With just over a week to the launch of ERDEM x HM I have picked my top five items out of the collection which for me are true must-haves!

My first pick was the ERDEM hoody, a real no-brainer, this sweater with the ERDEM logo will surely be a staple in any Fall wardrobe. You can combine it with jeans and check pants but also over a dress or a skirt.

My second pick was the Chanel-like jacket that with the gorgeous combination of black, white and yellow is such a timeless piece which you will be able to wear for years to come.

Then I have picked two fab dresses a short one and long one, thanks to the lace and with florals motifs  they are a dream for romantic lovers. They are elegant enough for a special occasion but they can be dressed down if worn over jeans.

My last pick is the floral pants which will look great with a smart blouse for an important work meeting but will work just as well on a night out with a bodysuit or a black turtleneck.
