LA PRAIRIE invites Mario Botta to ART BASEL in Miami Beach

On the occasion of the launch of its latest Platinum Rare Collection innovation, La Prairie 
has commissioned renowned Swiss architect Mario Botta to create a unique Archisculpture inspired by the origin of life to be displayed in the La Prairie Pavilion at Art Basel in Miami Beach  from December 6th to December 9th 2018.


“Art Basel in Miami Beach marks our second year of partnership with Art Basel, which we believe is the ideal fit to express La Prairie’s intrinsic link with
the world of art,” said Greg Prodromides, Chief Marketing Officer of La Prairie Group. “In developing La Prairie’s latest innovation, launching end of January 2019 –
the Swiss scientists at La Prairie sought to pinpoint the origin of rejuvenation, to isolate and capture the power at the heart of the rejuvenation process.
It is this life force that inspired us to enter into this very special artistic collaboration with Mario,” he added.

Designing a full-scale sculptural structure that is not only meant to be observed and admired from the exterior, but also to be entered into and experienced from its core, Mr Botta has succeeded in capturing the essence of where life begins. The sleek vertical wooden slats, aligned in organic, almost feminine curves, invite the viewer to explore what lies within. Once inside, the participant experiences the parenthetical space as a respite from the outside world – a place where time stands still. 

“I wanted this all-encompassing moment to be a mutual one, exchanged in a quiet, 
personal fashion,” Mr Botta said. “Life begins in the most cosseted, intimate of spaces, and I wanted to offer the viewer that experience again 
– to offer the opportunity to reflect on the origins of life,” he continued.

The Nail Bar: now open in two locations in Zurich


Eight years after opening its first salon in Lausanne, The Nail Company is pleased to announce the opening of two Nail Bars in Zurich. Located in the Grieder department store and at number 24 Talacker Street, just a few steps from the famous Paradeplatz, the two salons will offer a wide range of services to their Zurich clientele.
The concept of "nail bar" is to allow customers to come with or without an appointment, and to have their hands and feet pampered while sipping a drink (tea or syrup included in the price ). In Zurich, manicures and pedicures are available at the Grieder department store without an appointment, on the other hand reservations are required for the services offered at the Nail Bar on Talacker Street.
