Life doesn’t wait, and neither do we.
So have faith in the NOW.
And have no regrets.
Because every second is an experience.
And every experience is a #moetmoment
On June 11th, 2016, the world’s most-loved champagne brought its 1st edition
of Moët Party Day to life. This single, extraordinary day was filled with celebration and
#moetmoment around the globe.
An astounding 35 markets shared in the experience: Albania, Australia, Austria,
Belgium/Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Malta, Mexico,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Romania, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
Why June 11th? First, June is the gateway to summer. But also, June 11th is also a milestone in
the history of savoir-fête, or Moët & Chandon’s savoir-faire when it comes to celebration. On
June 11th, 1967, the celebratory champagne spray was born at the 24-hour Le Mans race in
France. American driver and winner Dan Gurney did something unexpected when he was
handed a Jeroboam bottle of Moët & Chandon on the podium: he sprayed champagne over
the crowd! And just like that, a joyous new celebration was born.
“Moët Party Day is a modern, fresh and vibrant take on Moët & Chandon’s greatest tradition
since 1743, which is creating #moetmoment around the world,” said Arnaud de Saignes,
International Director of Marketing and Communications for Moët & Chandon. “We thank
everyone who celebrated with us, and who helped bring our savoir-fête to life in a
new, global way.”
