Christmas time at Starbucks

For Starbucks the Holidayseason gives you  a reason to rest, look back on traditions and spread the pre-Christmas mood with freshly brewed coffee. As for the past 35 years, Starbucks will once again present the limited edition Starbucks Christmas Blend and its slightly younger brother, the Christmas Blend Espresso Roast, available at all Starbucks Coffee Houses in Switzerland.

A journey through the Starbucks Christmas Blend story

When the company operated only five small shops in Seattle in 1984, the Christmas Blend was designed as a gift for Starbucks guests. The launch of this particular coffee blend was an immediate success. Since then, Starbucks has been re-launching the Christmas Blend blend every year. In 2010, Starbucks also launched a dark roast of Christmas Blends - the Christmas Blend Espresso Roast for that extra something. Each vintage is unique - and just like wine, the flavors of the coffee blend can vary in every season.

Christmas Blend

For 35 years, Starbucks customers have been celebrating Christmas with the Christmas Blend, a full-bodied coffee blend with multi-year ripened Sumatra beans and vibrant Latin American and mild Indonesian coffee beans. The spicy and fine sweet taste is rounded off by delicate notes of orange, nutmeg, cinnamon and clove and offers coffee lovers a festive pampering aroma, so that with each single sip good memories come up.

Christmas Blend Espresso Roast

Inspired by the flavors of Christmas Blends and our beloved Starbucks Espresso Roast, this seasonal coffee blend is tailored for espresso lovers. The coffee blend impresses with its unique roasting profile, which harmoniously combines aromas of cedar and herbal spices with a rich caramel sweetness. Delicate notes of ginger, orange, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and caramelized sugar complete the taste experience.

What would be the Christmas season without gingerbread?
For people around the world, the Gingerbread Latte heralds the Christmas season.
The sweet, slightly spicy taste of gingerbread mixes with espresso and milk froth,
topped with gingerbread-flavored whipped cream and a waffle topping.
The Gingerbread Latte is available as a hot latte or as a refreshing Frappucchino.
